Constitution, not judges, rule USA

To the Editor: The terms “liberals” vs. “conservatives” seem to have taken on entirely new and different meanings.

Conservative thinkers still hold to the supremacy of our Constitution, as it was intended and as it was written.

There are liberals who believe that, along with God and the Bible, the Constitution is outdated and needs to be rewritten or even discarded, and the principles of the Humanist Manifesto be adopted, without regard to the fate of the countries ruled by the manifesto.

Our Constitution has made us the envy of the other nations clamoring for admittance into our country — legally or illegally.

Is the Constitution still “the supreme law of the land” or has it been replaced by Supreme Court decisions?

Supremacist judges have declared as “unconstitutional” the free exercise of religion and the freedom to teach our children as we see fit.

A judge ruled that the rights of parents to control the upbringing of their children “does not extend beyond the threshold of the school door.”

One atheist parent can silence all schoolchildren from reciting the “Pledge of Allegiance,” but no parent can object or opt his child out of instruction about sex, homosexuality or Islam.

Anything Christian is banned from the schools, yet Humanism (which is a religion and the antithesis of Christianity) is openly taught in the schools.

Liberal supremacist judges are handing down decisions that override, not only other branches of government, but also the will of the American people.

Congress has the power to do something about this. They need to.
