Maybe it's just me, but I know I remember America bombing Laos and Cambodia during the 60's and 70's, and that Cambodia then disinegrated into total chaos. The Khymer Rouge (spelling) then unleashed a huge army of 8-12 yr olds to rid the country of anyone deemed a potential threat to the Motherland. The situation may indeed be quite different in Pakistan today, but the same rationale is being employed, that is, that American forces cannot pursue Al Queda militants into Pakistan, so then we are righteous when we lob missiles into a civilians home. 18 people died, many apparently women and children. Hearts and minds indeed. I have to wonder at the legality of this action. If yet another #2 man is purportedly hiding in say, Toronto, would we justified in bombing? Hate to say it, but it seems cowardly to sacrifice innocent people in a futile quest to rid the world of one more terrorist.
